Gastvortrag für Studierende 15.10.25: „Cultural Sustainability: The Role of Cultural and Arts Education“ von Ifẹolúwa Akínṣọlá, PhD (Univ. Ibadan, Nigeria)

Im Rahmen der Modulseminare zu Modul II des MA Pädagogik – aber auch offen Studierende anderer Studiengänge und Kolleg_innen – findet am 15.10., 10-12 Uhr ct. im Raum  05701.00.011 ( 00.011 Übungsraum 2) ein Gastvortrag und Dialog von Ifẹolúwa Akínṣọlá (PhD) zur Bedeutung von Pädagogik, und insbesondere kultureller Bildung, im Kontext kulturellen Wandels statt. Ifẹolúwa Akínṣọlá ist Lecturer am Department of Arts and Social Sciences Education der University of Ibadan. Als Experte für Yoruba-Kultur und Heritage forscht er zu den Möglichkeiten künstlerischer, medialer und kultureller Bildung zur lebendigen Weitergabe kulturellen Erbes. Der Vortrag findet im Rahmen eines 2-wöchigen Aufenthaltes als Gast des UNESCO Chair in Digital Culture and Arts in Education statt.

Guest Lecture and Dialogue with Ifẹolúwa Akínṣọlá (PhD)

On the Role of Education—Especially Cultural Education—in the Context of Cultural Change

As part of the seminar sessions for Module II of the MA Education program—but also open to students from other degree programs and colleagues—a guest lecture and dialogue will take place on October 15, 10:00–12:00 c.t., in Room 05701.00.011 (00.011 Practice Room 2). The speaker, Ifẹolúwa Akínṣọlá (PhD), will address the significance of education, and in particular cultural education, in the context of cultural transformation.

Ifẹolúwa Akínṣọlá is a Lecturer at the Department of Arts and Social Sciences Education at the University of Ibadan. As an expert in Yorùbá culture and heritage, he conducts research on the potential of artistic, media-based, and cultural education for the living transmission of cultural heritage.

The lecture is part of a two-week stay as a guest of the UNESCO Chair in Digital Culture and Arts in Education.
